Review : Max Factor Creme Puff - 05 Translucent and the story about my skin

About my skin
There is no point in talking about foundations and powders if you don't know what my skin is like. If I have dry skin and I really like it, it probably means that girls with oily skin won't like it etc.
I have never been a fan of powders because I already have dry skin. Even liquid foundations tend to leave my skin looking patchy and dirty. I have been dealing with that for years now because I have never found a moisturizer that suits my skin. If I apply it regularly and skip only one day, my skin

starts looking dry again. I am not even sure anymore what kind of moisturize to use. I used to have dry skin on my whole face, but lately my forehead is getting oily. I should probably go to the dermatologist to determine my skin type and to recommend me the proper moisturizer. When it comes to foundations, I'm thinking to stop using them because they just clog my pores and I don't even need that much coverage. I'll probably switch to BB creams, I just bought one yesterday and it already seems amazing. It's by Deborah Milano and I will leave further details for a review that is coming up soon, just after I test it a bit more.

Packaging
This powder comes in a very elegant black packaging and you get a ton of product. 21g of powder is a lot and it will last you a very long time. When you open it up, you will see a really thin white sponge which I don't like to use because it leaves too much product on my skin. I like using this powder with a big brush to slightly dust it all over my face and if I feel like I need a bit more coverage under my eyes, I will use a sponge or a big eyeshadow blending brush.

Product
This is a very fine powder and you only need a small amount of it. I have the one in 05 - Translucent, but if I'm not careful when applying it, my face looks too powdery which I don't like. It has a matte finish which is better for people with oily / combination skin, but either way, it doesn't make my skin look patchy and it holds up very well during the day.
I wore it to my prom and I applied it around 5-6 pm, and when I came home around 7 am, my make up was still intact even though I was dancing all night. I was so tired when I came back that I just took my dress and jewelry off and hopped into bed with full face of make up (I know it's bad, but this was an exception). I got up very late, maybe around 4 and my make up was still there ! I'm not going to lie and say it looked the same as when I applied it because it didn't, but it was still on my face. This just shows you that this is a high quality product. I take my make up off with soap and water and I have no problems with it, it's easy to take off.
It has a bit odd scent, it kind of reminds me of Nivea but not completely. It doesn't smell fresh at all and it doesn't even smell like other make up products. I would not recommend it if you're too picky about the scents, but I'm fine with it. When you open it up, the scent overwhelms you, but as soon as you put it on your face it slowly fades away and you barely feel anything.

Conclusion
This is an amazing powder, but like I said, you have to be careful when applying it since it already has a matte finish, if you apply too much it looks very powdery. Other than that (and the scent which might not work for everyone), everything is A+. It's easy to work with and easy to blend. I would totally recommend it to all of you in need of a powder. It works great with all skin types (my friend has oily skin and it looks very good on her), even with dry skin, but if you have dry skin, you just have to be a bit more careful when applying it.
