Review: Kinda Sexy lipstick from MAC

Before I get into the actual post, I want to apologize because I didn't post anything in such a long time. I wasn't home, I was in Belgium and I had I wonderful time. Each day was amazing and I was just so busy that I couldn't blog. Sorry about that.

Packaging
Since this lipstick is one of their regulars, it comes in the standard MAC packaging. The tube is black and it looks like a huge bullet. It is made of metal and it is very sturdy which is a major plus. You won't have problems with it breaking in your make up bag like it happens with plastic tubes.

Finish
The lipstick has a beautiful matte finish which, surprisingly, is not drying to the lips. It glides over your lips so easily and the colour is very saturated. I like the fact that I don't have to go over the same spot a hudred times because it is really pigmented.

Colour and swatches
This is a dark nude lipstick with a peachy undertone. At least for me it's dark since I'm very pale. I think it would look better if you are a bit tan, but even on light skintones, it looks pretty good. The camera is not picking up the colour so well, it's darker than it looks.
It doesn't look that matte on my lips because of the flash.

Here I'm just showing you some other MAC lipsticks for comparison. The first one is Costa Chic, the second one is Kinda Sexy and the last one is Hug Me. Hug Me and Kinda Sexy are pretty similar in colour, but they have different finishes. One is matte and the other one is a lustre.
A very similar lipstick would be KIKO's 285 which is much more affordable. It's just has a more red undertone. It kinda reminds me of red brick.

Lasting power
I have to say that the lasting power is really good. Even after I drank juice, it was still there. Out of all my MAC lipsticks, this one stays the best on my lips which is because of the matte finish.

Price
It was 17.00 or 17.50 euros, I'm not sure. Anyway, I think it's worth it. After all, you get what you pay for.
