It's all about GOLD.

Today I wanted to show you my all time favourite gold eyeshadows. And since no makeup look can go without some primer and  eyeliner, I had to add them to this post, too.

ARTDECO Eyeshadow Base
As you can see, this primer has kind of a nude colour, it appears lighter in the first picture (swatch). When I swatched it, I didn't really blend it in because I wanted you to be able to see its true colour. I don't know if you can tell by the swatch, but it has slight shimmer to it, it's nothing significant, so it won't mess up your eyeshadow colour. This is the only eye primer I've used in my life, ever since I bought it for the first time, I'm in love with it. It glides on so smoothly and it's easy to blend. Most importantly, it keeps my eye makeup in place even on a hot summer day. I used it for my prom makeup and I didn't experience any smudges even though I was dancing all night.

This eyeshadow is very pigmented and it's meant to be worn dry or wet. I never tried the wet application, so I can't tell you anything about it. I love eyeshadows that are easy to blend, and this one sure is. The colour is so versatile and I always wear it on the inner part of my lids or all over them. When the light hits your eyes, the shimmer really makes them pop. When I do my everyday makeup look, I like to use it with some matte brown eyeshadow in the crease and on the outer corner of my lids. But for the night - look, I like to darken it up a little bit. It is very powdery, so beware of the fallout.

This pigment is in between gold and a coppery colour. I love that look on my eyes and the pigmentation is amazing. I never wore it without the primer, so I don't know whether it creases when worn alone or not. If you use it with a primer, I promise you, it'll stay until you decide to take your makeup off. As you can see by the swatch, it is pretty pigmented on its own, but when applied over the primer, it gets a totally different look. It almost looks metallic. I've noticed  if you put too much of it on one spot, it's really noticeable, the product builds up and forms a really big pile of eyeshadow on your lids. Just be careful when using this product and don't go over the same spot more than two times, pigments are thicker than eyeshadows and give much better colour payoff with just one application. 

CATRICE - Fancy A Coppa Tea?
This one is a true gold colour. It's not as pigmented as the ones I mentioned above, but it's still an amazing eyeshadow. I haven't experienced any fallout with it and it's fairly easy to blend. It has slight shimmer to it and it's a really affordable drugstore product. You can't go overboard with it, it's easy to work with.

L'OREAL SUPER LINER CARBON GLOSS - Carbon black
I love this eyeliner so much, ever since I bought it, it's the only one I reach to. It's a felt tip, so it's easy to control and you can do your flick within two minutes. The pigmentation is great, with just one swatch you get that true black colour.
